DESCRIPTION:Join our Naturalists for a guided walk to learn about the natural history\, flora and fauna of Napatree Conservation Area! Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. This program is designed to last 90 minutes so participants can use the free parking along Bay Street. This program will start at 9:00 AM and meet at The Napatree Point Conservation Area entrance. Registration is required. Light rain will not cancel these events\, but a downpour will. \n  \nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Sunset Stroll: Napatree After Dark
DESCRIPTION:Join The Watch Hill Conservancy for a sunset stroll in The Napatree Point Conservation Area! \n\n\n\n\nCelebrate the beauty of late summer with an unforgettable evening in the Napatree Point Conservation Area! Join us for a guided 2-mile sunset walk under the last full moon of the summer solstice. \nAs the sun sets over Little Narragansett Bay\, we’ll explore the wonder of Napatree’s nightlife that becomes active at dusk. During the walk\, we will keep an eye out for a variety of nocturnal and coastal wildlife\, including: \n\nBats\nNight Herons\nDogfish\nHorseshoe Crabs\nWhelks\nRabbits\nMinks\nSkunks\nDeer\nOpossum\nMigratory Birds\n\nOur Science Advisors and Napatree Naturalists will provide a short lecture on the migratory birds & bat activity in the Napatree Point Conservation Area — participants will even get to experience using a bat call detector! \nAs darkness falls\, we’ll gather to observe the full moon through a spotting scope. \nLight snacks and beverages will be provided! \nEvent Details \n\nTime: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM\nDistance: Approximately 2 miles (moderate walking on sand and uneven terrain)\nWhat to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes\, weather-appropriate clothing\, insect repellent\, water.\n\nPlease utilize the free parking along Bay Street as the parking limitations are not in effect at the time of this program. \nRain will cancel these events.
